The foundation "Entrepreneurs for Peace" and microsurgeon Olaf Libermanis have been awarded the Ukrainian Order of St. Panteleimon for their significant contribution to supporting Ukraine, the foundation informed the LETA agency.

The Order of St. Panteleimon is a Ukrainian award that honors medical professionals, military medical specialists, and representatives of civil society for their special contributions to saving lives and providing assistance. Its origins date back to 2009, but since 2024, the order has also been awarded to foreign representatives who have provided significant support to Ukraine in its fight for freedom and independence.

Since the foundation's establishment in 2022, aid worth more than 23 million euros has been delivered to Ukraine, including more than 1,300 vehicles, 1,000 drones, and 300 generators. Medical equipment, communication devices, thermal cameras, charging stations, and other necessary items for the front have also been supplied.

Meanwhile, microsurgeon and plastic surgeon Libermanis arrived in Ukraine in March 2022 and has been regularly working there since, providing medical assistance to severely wounded soldiers. His complex microsurgical operations help preserve injured limbs and reduce the risk of amputation. The doctor is also involved in training Ukrainian medical professionals to ensure specialized surgical assistance is available as close as possible to the combat zones.
