Ukrainian Air Alarm System Hacked
On Sunday evening, a cyberattack occurred on Ukraine's official app "Air Alarm," and its users received false warnings about radiation threats and street fighting. The Ukrainian Air Force announced that the app had suffered an enemy attack.
"There is no radiation threat! Stay calm, follow our news on our channel!" the army stated.
Later, the Ukrainian State Emergency Service announced that the warning system was operating in normal mode.
"All threat warnings are sent to regional administrations and respective street warning systems. Follow the official information from local government authorities and heed loudspeaker signals. Once again, we urge citizens not to click on external links and not to spread unverified data," added the State Emergency Service.
