The New Work Week is Expected to be Typically Autumnal
The new work week will start with rainy weather, with fewer precipitation expected in the middle of the week, but from Thursday, new rain clouds will cross Latvia, forecasts the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
The LETA agency informs that on Monday the sky will be covered with clouds, and only in some places will the sun shine through. A precipitation zone will cross Latvia from the west, so rain is expected almost throughout the country. A moderate to moderately strong south to southwest wind will blow, reaching gusts of 15 to 19 meters per second at night in the western and central regions, but during the day mainly along the coastal areas. At night, the air will cool down to +6…+11 degrees, while during the day the maximum air temperature will be in the range of +9…+12 degrees.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the amount of clouds will be variable. There will be more clouds in the west of the country, where rain is expected on Tuesday night and in the morning. Meanwhile, Wednesday will pass without precipitation. Fog will form in some places at night and in the mornings, reducing visibility. A light to moderate south to southeast wind will blow, which will still be gusty in the coastal areas on Tuesday.
On Tuesday night, the thermometer in most areas will drop to +3…+7 degrees, but it will be warmer along the coast - there +7…+11 degrees. The temperature on the night of Wednesday will be even a degree lower. Meanwhile, during the daylight hours, the air temperature will not exceed +9…+13 degrees.
In the continuation of the week, the weather will generally remain calm - the sun will mix with clouds, and a light to moderate wind from the south will blow. Rain will fall at some point in almost all regions. The air temperature will not change significantly at night or during the day and will remain within similar ranges as in previous days.
