Kulbergs Begins Official Government Talks

Prime Minister candidate Andris Kulbergs (AS) will start the first round of official government formation talks today with potential coalition partners, meeting with the "New Unity" (JV) and the National Alliance (NA).

As informed by the LETA agency, the meeting with NA will begin at 1 PM, and at 3 PM a meeting with JV is scheduled. Both talks will take place at the Cabinet of Ministers. After them, comments from party representatives to the media are promised.

Kulbergs previously indicated to journalists that the upcoming meetings will be the first official round of talks with potential government partners. Then, a meeting with the "Progressives" is scheduled for Friday, and on Monday with the party "Latvia First".

In talks with political forces, Kulbergs plans to present a brief change plan and a new government work model. According to the politician, the proposal will focus on organizing state finances, economic development, strengthening security, and changes in state administration.

At the same time, the AS Prime Minister candidate intends to offer a model that would more clearly define the government's and the Saeima's responsibility in implementing changes. He emphasized that the government's declaration would be concentrated on the most important tasks, while a separate document would outline the changes to be made at the parliamentary level for the Saeima.
