Campaign to Encourage Donations for Drone Purchases for Both the Ukrainian Army and the Latvian National Guard
The charity organization Ziedot.lv has launched a new donation campaign during the national holiday month. As Ziedot.lv director Rūta Dimanta explained in an interview with Skonto Media Group (SMG), the donated funds will be divided equally - half for the needs of the Ukrainian army and half for strengthening the defense capabilities of the Latvian National Guard.
"Half of the donations will be used to deliver drones to Ukraine, and half of the donated money will be used to strengthen the defense capabilities of the Latvian National Guard. In my opinion, it is a very beautiful opportunity, a beautiful gift to Latvia on its birthday — to donate money for our security and freedom," said Ziedot.lv director in an interview with SMG.
In the donation campaign "Drone for Ukraine, Drone for Latvia," residents are invited for the first time to simultaneously support the purchase of drones for both the Ukrainian army and the Latvian National Guard.
It is possible to support the campaign and donate for drone purchases on the Ziedot.lv website until the end of the year.
For almost five years, Ukraine has been fighting against Russia's full-scale invasion. Ukraine's experience demonstrates how significant a role drones play in modern warfare. They help conduct reconnaissance, identify threats, and protect soldiers.
