BTA also insures the Freedom Monument for 1.5 million euros this year
The risk insurance company "BTA Baltic Insurance Company" (BTA) is also gifting the insurance of the Freedom Monument to the Riga City Council this year in the amount of 1.5 million euros, BTA representatives informed the LETA agency.
BTA has been insuring the Freedom Monument for the 23rd year, and in many previous years, the insurance policy was also for 1.5 million euros.
This year, the policy has been expanded to include coverage against new, previously uninsured risks. BTA board member Evija Matveja will present the insurance policy to Riga Mayor Viesturs Kleinbergs (P) at the Freedom Monument on November 10 at 10 AM.
Students from Riga educational institutions will also participate in the event.
