The Highlight of the Beer Festival in Cēsis – a Concert by Miks Galvanovskis

On June 13, the city of Cēsis, celebrating its 820th anniversary this year, will once again become the capital of Latvia’s beer culture. After a break of more than twenty years, the Beer Festival tradition will return to the city, bringing together brewers, industry professionals, and beer enthusiasts from across Latvia.

The festival will feature a large tasting area showcasing both well-known breweries and small craft beer producers. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore different beer styles, learn more about brewing traditions, and meet the brewers themselves. Various free activities will also be available throughout the event.

At 9:00 PM, the courtyard of Cēsis Castle will host a concert by Miks Galvanovskis, one of the most prominent artists in Latvian rock music, who has gained widespread popularity and audience appreciation in recent years.

It is worth remembering that during the 1990s, the Beer Festival, dedicated to Latvia’s national beverage—beer—was one of the largest celebrations in the country and the most significant event in the brewing industry. The return of the Beer Festival to Cēsis marks a new chapter in the city’s summer cultural calendar, strengthening long-standing traditions while creating a new platform for the development of Latvia’s beer culture.
